Cosmic Slop Fest

Named for Funkadelic’s (aka Parliament/P Funk’s) classic 1973 album “Cosmic Slop,” the Cosmic Slop Rock Festival is an intentionally multi-cultured rock festival.

Founded in 2011 by Deekah Rox and a group of fellow black Detroit musicians, the Cosmic Slop Rock Festival has become known as one of the few places for Black, Hispanic, Middle Eastern and Native Rockers from across the U.S. to join together and celebrate the colorful roots of the music they love.
